    First Place Redlegs!

Man oh man am I enjoying this season. Yet another dramatic win today to go seven games over .500.

Come back win after come back win. It's fun watching... This season is shaping up just like the 1999 season.

7 games up on .500 and only 3 runs up on run differential. Amazing.

We have won 10 one-run games. Including 13 come back wins. I know the Pythag record suggests we aren't as good right now, but you can't deny winning 9 of the last 10 including something like 16 of the last 25.

Pitching and defense, pitching and defense. It's not exciting but it's effective. The Reds have the potential to do to the NL Central what Atlanta did to the NL East in the 90's. With guys like Wood, Chapman, and Mahoney in the minors the pitching talent is deep. They still have an all star pitcher on the DL with Volquez as well. I said at the start of the year that 2011 is the year but they are sure making this year fun. 7teen, it's July 30th you are tied with STL do you trade Alonso for the one piece to put you over the top?

Is over the top a World Series? If so, then hell yes I trade Alonso. If it's just making it to the playoffs then I'd have to think about that one a little more. A lot is going to depend on whether Alonso can play LF on a day-to-day basis. Either that or Votto has to move to LF so Yonder can play 1b. I'd have a tough time swallowing trading Votto, who is rapidly replacing Chris Sabo as my all-time favorite player.

Oh yea, I watch/listen everyday. I have the package on tv, the computer package so I can watch day games at work, and xm so I can listen in the car. I'm an addict, the Reds are my drug. I care so much more about the Reds than my other favorite pro teams it's made this a fun year so far. Stripes, I see what you are saying but it gives me hope. Cincinnati stole so many games early they shouldn't have won it bodes well down the stretch or at least that's what I'm telling myself. I'm so glad I got that poor sob to take Hoffman off of my hands in fantasy, who was that?

I have Extra Innings at home and XM. I usually listen to the XM at work during day games or DVR the game at home and watch later. Today, I listened and then watched the 9th over again including the Votto blast. I don't think I have missed a game this year, either listening to or watching it in some fashion.

I loved it when XM had WLW as a channel. Then I could catch some of the post game stuff after the game left the XM Play by Play channel and catch all of the Reds talk during the day.

Im not knocking that they are only +3, I would be happy to. Its a good thing that teams can win close games. Look at the Braves 2 years ago when they lost like 25 1 run games and only won 1. Win half and they would have won the East. I wish we were all in ATL the next two days.

I feel the same way about some poor sob who took Harang off my hands.
